New Home Development

Location: Lugarno, NSW

Architect: Beachworth Studio

Description:
After living in a brick veneer, single level home on this site that couldn’t be more wrongly designed, with no airflow, and minimal natural lighting, the owners set out to make the wrongs right and the only way was to knockdown and rebuild.

With a north facing yard they moved all living and entertaining areas to the rear of the property, overlooking the landscaped garden and pool.

Extensive use of highlights, louvers, windows and doors allows an abundance of natural lighting and airflow throughout the home.

The house was designed with a French style courtyard in the middle of the home, that could be viewed from the kitchen, powder room, and the living areas as to create a natural feel throughout the home, this also acted as a light well up to the first floor.

Features include:
Cinema room
Spacious marble en-suite
A spacious entry and hallway with a raked ceiling and velux skylights
180 wide stained Blackbutt floors
L shaped solar heated pool with in-floor cleaning jets and water weir
30,000 litre under garage water tank with a fully irrigated lawn and garden
Sandstone planter
Jetmaster fireplace
The use of travertine in the powder room and French garden
The use of honed sandstone for the pool coping and alfresco area
Home audio through out the home
Under floor heating for all bathrooms
