From the first day of excavation I knew this was a special site as it was a cool autumn morning, over looking the cloudy valley.
The first thing that came to mind when revising the plan was how well the house sat on the block.
No doubt it was a challenging block, but I was excited at what lay ahead. Most of the house was of double brick construction, with the upper level being of brick veneer with a curved structural steel roof.
Features of the home included tallowood flooring, huge open plan living overlooking valley views, curved mosaic wall in en suite, media room, sauna, great overhanging pool and entertainment area, landscaped gardens by (sculptured earth landscapes), Zen garden and a wine cellar.
The house is fully air conditioned, but is hardly used as the house gets plenty of natural breezes to keep it at very comfortable temperatures. The house has “Jetmaster” heaters for those cold winter days as well as heated flooring and heated towel rails in bathrooms and en suite
