Architect: Mark Privet from The Plan Workshop
Description:
After having lived there for a few years the owners saw the potential in the existing home, and knew that with a bit of planning they could extend, renovate and achieve a great result. So with that in mind went out to find an architect that they felt comfortable with, and found Mark Privet from The Plan Workshop.
He along with the owners and myself transformed this rundown modest red brick house to a more practical modern home.
The works consisted of:
Internally: adding a huge rumpus behind the garage for the kids to play in, with a floor of polished concrete, which was very hardy and easy to clean.
Adding a large main bedroom with en suite gave the owners the space they needed. The existing bathroom was tastefully renovated and also doubled as a powder room.
Externally a great timber deck featuring a dressed timber pergola and stainless steel handrails was added, for entertaining and barbecue needs.
Finally, Cement rendering and painting over the red bricks gave the home a modern appearance.
